About Rabbi Silber
Rabbi Shmuel Silber has a passion for sharing fulfilling contemporary Torah with a Chassidic warmth. He is the Dean of the Institute for Jewish Continuity, and serves as Senior Rabbi of Suburban Orthodox Congregation Toras Chaim in Baltimore, Maryland.
Prior to Suburban Orthodox, he was Assistant Rabbi of Congregation Shomrei Torah in Fair Lawn, NJ, and Director of Education for KOF-K Kosher Supervision. He received Semicha from Yeshiva University (RIETS) and a Master's in Secondary Jewish Education from Azrieli Graduate School.
Rabbi Silber has served as Scholar in Residence across America, Israel, and South Africa, has taught a Master's-level Adult Education program through Johns Hopkins University, and teaches ongoing classes at the Women's Institute of Torah (WIT) and Maalot in Baltimore. His published works include The Melting Pot. He and his wife Aviva are the proud parents of six children.

The Institute for Jewish Continuity
The Institute for Jewish Continuity is the custodian of the Mesorah — the Jewish traditions, customs, and Torah handed down through the generations. Founded as the educational arm of Suburban Orthodox Congregation in Baltimore, it has grown into a global learning portal through its virtual classroom and online library.
Our mission is to provide inspiring and intellectually-invigorating Torah learning to all levels of learners. Through courses, classes, and lectures, learners increase their knowledge and feel a greater sense of connection to and meaning within our rich tradition — across Daf Yomi, Mishna Yomi, Parsha, Mesillas Yesharim, Halacha, and much more, with searchable transcripts and organized series.
The Institute for Jewish Continuity welcomes students and participants of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
