Nitzavim: A Little Bit of Heaven

Rabbi Silber's Nitzavim thought, "A Little Bit of Heaven," takes Moshe's promise that even if you are scattered "to the ends of the heavens," Hashem will gather you back, and reads it as a message for anyone who feels they've made too many mistakes to be redeemed. He teaches that no matter how far a person has fallen, some residual spark of holiness always remains, and that spark, however small, is all Hashem needs to rebuild the relationship. He pushes back against giving up on ourselves after repeated failure, insisting that teshuva begins not by cataloguing what's wrong but by finding the goodness that's still there and building from it.
